The support TAP provides women running for office goes to help narrow the fundraising gap faced women politicians. The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) found that while women outvote men, women running for office raise significantly less funds than men.
Why support women who are running for office?

Politicians endorsed by TAP or friends of TAP have become a governor, a senator and a secretary of state. But why stop there?
How we work:
The TAP Fund endorses Western New York women running for office in Western New York, supporting those running up to the state level. Our board and donors at a certain level interview candidates and assess how much to provide to help women overcome the fundraising gap. We welcome all contributions.
Recognized for our work by the Western New York Women’s Bar Association, TAP provides a roster of endorsed candidates each election in which a woman is running.
Donors who give $1000 or higher will be invited to candidate interviews and other opportunities to meet the candidates. All donors will be invited to TAP’s annual event and other TAP sponsored events throughout the year, many of which are also attended by candidates and politicians TAP has supported.
